Gateclaw (supplementary product)
The Gateclaw is a durable and heavy duty supplementary product that needs to be installed together with our Barrier Gate (Premium). This 'on the ground' one-way or bidirectional surface mounted traffic flow plate spike barrier solution provides a quick and cost effective way to further control vehicle movements in a roadway. The Gateclaw product is securely mounted onto a galvanised plate that spans the area between the gate posts of our premium barrier gates. Ideal for entrances and exits requiring a higher level of security (car parks and industrial sites etc). Available for hire or sale. It has a unique design that will allow 3 adjustable modes to be used;
Active Mode - vehicles will be allowed to cross it in one direction only.
Fixed Down Mode - vehicles will be allowed to pass in either direction.
Fixed Up Mode - vehicles will be prevented from passing in either direction (it can be padlocked when in this position - padlocks are not included unless requested at the time of ordering).
Keys are provided for easy adjustment of the above modes by any operative (security guard or gatehouse operator etc).
Gateclaw Traffic Spike System Disclaimer- - top plate is manufactured from 5mm durbar plate providing sufficient grip for tyres in all weather conditions.
- - 3mph/5kph is the recommended limit for driving over this product, although it has been tested at higher speeds.
- - 65mm long claws will penetrate tyres on a range of vehicles from cars to trucks.
- - padlockable when in Fixed Up Mode, if required (padlocks are not included unless requested at the time of ordering).
- - tested to 40,000kg continuous traffic.
- - galvanised base.
- - spring loaded claws, along with a backup spring mechanism.
- - visible claws with a fluorescent yellow colour.
- - vehicles driving this product need to have a ground clearance of greater than 5"/125mm, particularly when the Gateclaw is set in the Active or Fixed Up Mode.
